TwitBird Pro

TwitBird Pro is a full-featured iPhone Twitter app that supports landscape view for tweets and the inline web browser. As they claim in the App Store description, landscape view is available on pretty much every screen of this iPhone app. If you are a fan of typing or web browsing with a wide screen on the iPhone, this is the twitter app for you!

Full Twitter Feature Set

TwitBird Pro has all of the standard streams, including your home feed, @ mentions, DMs, favorites, and simple search, with the ability to save searches. It also comes with plenty of other bells and whistles:

  • Save for Later is a bookmarking features that lets you save links you come across into a to-do list if you don't have time to read it right now. When you have time, just select the "Read Later" feed to access your saved links.
  • Mark Messages as Read is a common feature, but TwitBird Pro lets you filter your stream down so you can peruse unread items only. There's also a button to mark everything as read.
  • Groups: TwitBird Pro has an intuitive, visual selection screen for groups of people that is very familiar to iPhone users.
  • Image Uploading is available using TwitPic, yFrog, or MobyPicture.
  • Push Notifications lets you know when you have new tweets to read, even when TwitBird Pro isn't open. They support all three notification options (SMS style alerts, sounds, and badge numbers)

Settings

You can access TwitBird Pro settings by going to the Settings app on your iPhone (with the silver gear icon). Settings include the number of messages to sync, a list of streams you would like to auto-refresh, image uploading settings, sound, API proxy server options, and image caching for user pics and other graphics that get loaded.

You can get support for TwitBirdPro on Twitter @TwitBirdPro.

Final Verdict

TwitBird Pro gets a rating of 4/5 stars for its numerous features including some that are fairly unique. The iTunes App Store price seems to be fluctuating between $0.99 and $4.99, so if it's on the higher end of that scale, try some other alternatives first to make sure they satisfy your needs before dropping money on this app, which is good, but not so good it stands far above the lower priced (or free) iPhone twitter apps.

this twitter app has lots of rich features, which I like them very much. the only thing I hate about it is: Global Push Notification upgrade makes it very expensive. Compare it to other twitter client for iphone, the price covers most twitter client with push-notification build inside. not forget to mention boxcar which only 1/3 of the global upgrade price. after all, this is a decent client for your iPhone. worth to try :D
