TweetMic Pro

TweetMic lets you record audio clips on your iPhone and post them to Twitter. It has an intuitive interface that makes posting audio files on Twitter completely painless. TweetMic Pro has multiple twitter account support.

Record and Upload

When you load this Twitter app there's no question about what you should do (hint: press the big red button!). The controls are pretty easy: the blue back button lets you record again, and the green play button will play back what you've already recorded. There's also a text box you can use to describe your recording for when you tweet it. When you're satisfied with the recording, tap "Publish to Twitter" and TweetMic Pro will upload your audio to their servers and post a tweet with a shortened link to the audio.

Your Tweetcasts on the Web

If you load the link on a desktop or laptop computer, TweetMic has a nice audio playback website with many social features that allow you to pass juicy recordings on to your friends (if RT just isn't enough for you). Loading the link on an iPhone gives you a streamlined mobile version that's a snap to use. Both versions have "other recordings by this user" as well as the latest recordings that any user has uploaded to TweetMic.

Other features

While TweetMic Pro is light on other features, it includes image uploading and a management screen for all of your previous recordings that lets you play them back or delete them. There's also a screen that lets you set your default message to post along with the audio file.

Final Verdict

TweetMic Pro gets 3/5 stars for delivering a streamlined audio recording and uploading tool that is perfect for sharing on Twitter. While not meant to be a full-blown Twitter client it offers a great experience for the purpose it serves.
