Which Twitter App?Reviews and Recommendations for Twitter Apps

After not so many weeks of waiting, Tweetie 2 has been repackaged and released as the official Twitter app. As covered before, atebits, the one-man company behind Tweetie, has been bought up and added to their team at Twitter. They even called this app Twitter 3.0 in recognition of Loren's hard work on the first two versions. But let's get back to the updates to the official Twitter app:

• Sign up directly from inside the app, and it includes the whole process, even the sugested users.
• Even if you don't sign up, you can use all of the public features of the app, such as search and trends.
• Improved search, which now includes trends, top tweets and geolocated tweets.
• You can now Retweet from the main actions bar (access it by swiping across any tweet).
• Slot machine removed from the "pull to refresh" area :(

All in all it's a great update, and probably the first of many. Tweet away!
